NCLEX-RN Mastery is a study app for nursing students. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, what it does not, and how to remove your data. It is written to describe this app specifically rather than to cover things we do not do.
You can use the entire app without an account. If you never sign in, your study data never leaves your device and we hold nothing about you. An account exists only so your progress can follow you to another device.
| Data | Where it lives | When |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and password | Our authentication provider (Supabase). Passwords are stored only as a salted hash — we never see them. | Only if you create an account |
| Display name (optional) | Our database | Only if you provide one |
| Per-question progress — how many times you attempted a question and how many times you were correct | Our database, readable only by your account | Only if you create an account |
| Your answers, bookmarks, notes, flashcard scheduling, quiz and exam history, streaks | Your device only. Stored in a local database on the phone and never transmitted. | Always |
Your email address identifies your account so you can sign in on another device. Your per-question progress is what makes syncing possible — without it, a new device would start from zero. That is the entire purpose; this data is not analyzed for any other reason.
You can permanently delete your account from inside the app at any time: Profile → Account → Delete account.
This is a permanent deletion, not a deactivation. Your login and all progress rows are erased from our database immediately, and the email address becomes free to register again. We keep no backup copy of a deleted account. Study data held locally on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Your session token is held in the iOS keychain rather than ordinary app storage. Every database record is protected by row-level security rules that make it technically impossible for one account to read another account's data. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit.
We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. They process this data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. If we add payment processing for subscriptions, purchases are handled by Apple and by our subscription provider; we never receive or store your card details.
This app is intended for nursing students and other adult learners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
You may request a copy of the data associated with your account, ask for a correction, or delete everything yourself using the in-app control described above. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date at the top of this page and describe the change in the app's release notes.
